Kreo Chat (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy while providing our AI-powered business co-pilot service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information. By using our Service, including initiating authentication with Clerk, you explicitly consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you sign up using Clerk, we collect your name, email address, and profile image URL as provided by your authentication provider.
  • Business & Onboarding Data: We collect and store all the information you provide during the conversational onboarding, including your business name, type, niche, and goals.
  • Roadmap & Task Data: We collect and store the AI-generated roadmaps and all tasks you create, manage, and complete within the Service.
  • AI Chat & Interaction Data: We store the conversations you have with the AI co-pilot to maintain context and improve the Service.
  • Financial Data: We collect and store the revenue and expense records you manually enter into the financial tracker. Payment information for subscriptions is handled directly by Paystack and is not stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize our business co-pilot service.
  • Authenticate your identity through Clerk.
  • Generate your personalized business roadmap and tasks.
  • Provide contextual AI assistance and maintain conversation history.
  • Process subscription payments through our payment processor, Paystack.
  • Send transactional and marketing emails through Resend.
  • Analyze usage patterns with PostHog to improve and optimize our Service.
  • Protect against unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our Convex database, which uses industry-standard encryption and security measures. To maintain service quality and meet legal obligations, some of your data may be retained for a period of time after account deletion. Our development team's access to the production database is highly restricted.

5. Data Sharing

We share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances: with third-party service providers who are essential to operating our Service (see Section 7), when required by law, or with your explicit consent. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Marketing Communications

By using our Service, you agree to receive occasional marketing communications and product updates. You can easily opt-out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us at support@kreo.chat.

7. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with: Clerk (Authentication), Convex (Backend), Google Generative AI (AI Models), Paystack (Payments), Resend (Emails), PostHog (Analytics), and Vercel (Hosting). Each has its own privacy policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
